Beside beer, chocolate and so many other Belgian delicacies, there is one that is less known but has to be on that long list. Belgian wine!
The Belgian climate is just the limit of what is possible to make wine. Climate warming, new techniques and knowledge have put Belgian winegrowing on the map a few years ago. Discover beautiful and pirorsque vineyards such as 'Entre-Deux-Monts' and Domein Chant d’Éole. Forget the boring Bourdeaus and Riojas for a while.
Belgium even has some of the best sparkling wines in the world. The Cuvée Prestige Brut Blanc de Blancs is made on the Walloon domain of Chant d’Eole a twenty-minute drive from Mons. This wine was able to convince international jury members of the prestigious Concours Mondial de Bruxelles for the first price. Perhaps it is not so surprising that we have such great wines and sparkling wines. They just fit perfectly in our Burgundian culture.
