Eating out at Vuurtoreneiland ('Lighthouse Island' in Dutch) is not an ordinary evening out in Amsterdam!
The island features Amsterdam's only lighthouse and is a unique piece of nature with a rugged landscape. It can only be reached by ship! So your evening starts sailing the historic 'IJveer XIII' boat over the IJ River.
Once on the island, the table d'hôte menu is prepared with regional products, old-fashioned artisanal techniques, entirely on open fire. Eating with character with a special story. In the colder months, you‘ll eat in the winter restaurant with intimacy and warmth, with a fire and a blanket. In spring and summer you’ll eat in the summer restaurant, a transparent glass greenhouse.
